Moonlight is an open-source version of NVidia's Gamestream technology.
If your PC meets the requirements, you can stream most of your games to your Recalbox. On the other hand, Recalbox reads the pad configuration from EmulationStation and converts it to Moonlight.
Recalbox and PC requirements to enjoy Moonlight:
Recalbox offers a nicer scrap, the ability to stream from multiple PCs on the network and a small option to find available GFE hosts.
You need to use 3 commands to configure and start Moonlight.
Enter paths correctly as indicated!
First, you need to find available hosts with this command:
/recalbox/scripts/moonlight/Moonlight.sh find
Next, you need to pair your Recalbox to the wanted host with this command:
/recalbox/scripts/moonlight/Moonlight.sh pair <host>
Replace
<host>with the host name like in the first step.
You'll be prompted to enter a PIN Code on your PC. Enter the same as displayed after running the pair script
Once the pairing is done and the PIN code is entered on the host, you have to use this command to finish. This will update the game list of available games:
/recalbox/scripts/moonlight/Moonlight.sh init <host>
Replace
<host>with the host name like in the first step.
To quit a game, you can use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + Q (or A).
Here's a demo for finding GFE hosts, connecting them and running them:
