The Raspberry bootloader (also known as eeprom) is a firmware that allows the Raspberry Pi 4/400 to boot.
It is advisable to update the bootloader regularly, which can correct some bugs in the use of the Raspberry Pi 4/400.
The process of updating the bootloader is quite simple. All you need is the Raspberry Pi 4/400 and an SD card to flash.
The process can also be via a USB flash drive.
Download and install Raspberry Pi Imager.
Put your SD card on your PC.
Open Raspberry Pi Imager and click on 'CHOOSE OS'.
In the menu, go to Misc utility images
> Bootloader
> SD Card Boot
.
Choose your SD card to flash.
Click on Write
.
The flashing will take a few moments.
Once the flashing is complete, remove the SD card from your PC and insert it into your Raspberry Pi 4/400.
Start your Raspberry Pi 4/400 with HDMI plugged and wait a few seconds.
You will see a completely green screen, the bootloader update was successful. You can turn off your Raspberry Pi 4/400 and put the SD card you normally use in your Raspberry Pi 4/400 back in.
