In this FAQ, you will find known and identified issues. We are trying to fix them
If you encounter any issues after updating Recalbox, consider using the
factory resetin the advanced options of Recalbox. This can already resolve a lot of issues after an update.
This will not delete your ROMs/BIOS/saves, but you will need to reconfigure Recalbox (your settings, your controller, etc.).
For PC users, with the arrival of Recalbox 10, it will unfortunately not be possible to update from version 9.2.3 or lower automatically. This is due to a change in partitions sizes, which requires a clean installation of Recalbox 10.
Remember to back up the following three folders from your Share: ROMS / BIOS / SAVES, download the Recalbox 10 image for PC from the Recalbox website and install the image via Raspberry PI Imager as if it was a new installation from scratch.
For all platforms used for Recalbox, it has been found that for Softpatching, when the window allowing you to run the patched version, the unpatched version, or the selection of the patch to apply is displayed, the game does not launch. We are currently working on resolving this issue.
In the meantime, there is a workaround. In the game options, only the "Auto" and "Disable" options currently work on Softpatching. It is therefore still possible to select the "Auto" option to apply a patch to a game, if and only if you have only one patch for your game.
This has been fixed in the upcoming version 10.0.2.
Due to some issues related to the development of version 10, Moonlight is currently unavailable on PC. We are currently working on resolving the issue.
